Mr. Ken
You inspire me to write.
Out of everything that transpired during Game 2 – you decided to pump a column about Manny being a douche? For throwing a ball at the dugout? The ball hit the fucking net, it was never going to harm anyone, and being a lifetime journalist, I thought you’d know the old balls funnel through the home dugout?
Was Manny being disrespectful? Maybe. Probably.
Was there ANY harm, and I mean ANYTHING? Absolutely not.
Then you loop in Profar and Tatis? For getting into it with the fans? Do you think it was those two that started the shenanigans? The line between attracting new fans and pumping one team over the others is getting quite blurry – and I think you’re holding the eraser (one of those mini fun sized ones).
I hate to bring in your height here, but as a short King I have the right of passage. You abuse your platform to make yourself feel better.
Your buddy Dave Roberts is a soft, embarrassing manager. His tactics don’t work. They’ve never worked. He is an underperformer by nature.
Now – as a truth teller. Profar and Tatis ARE idiots for engaging with the fans. It works for them though. Tatis has been the hottest man on the planet. Manny does have a questionable history WITHOUT A DOUBT. Estrada’s comments about going back to LA were soft like Charmin as well.
But to see you defend scum, along with underperforming/overpaid “stars” is so sad. You’re an industry leader. You are literally steps above everyone else (the camera can’t see him if he’s on the same level).
You play it off like you’re a good guy, but you’re not. You’re a sorry excuse for a journalist. You don’t focus on the product. You spread gossip.
Now the Dodgers could kick ass and close this series down in San Diego, but I don’t think they have it in them. The villains are calling the younger brother the villains now – we’ll take it.
